Project information
The 1MW biogas plant built for the company Egea New Energy was the result of a very thorough study that also involved the local administration and area.
The plant collects slurry from around 30 local farms, which will take back digestate that has been reduced by 60% of nitrogen. Therefore, the plant allows the reduction of odours created by the farms at the time of spreading and during the slurry storage period, and the reduction of the nitrogen load, allowing the reduction of the hectares of UAA required.
Other features
- Digestate output sent to a screw-type solid-liquid separator and then to a centrifuge for further removal of the solid fraction.
- Clarified sent to a stripping plant for removal of ammoniacal nitrogen.
Input matrices
- Pig slurry
- Cattle slurry
- Corn silage
