Development and construction of a 500 kWe biogas plant
The 40,000 pig farm and the adjoining feed mill owned by CP Group require a particularly high consumption of electricity, so the customer decided to realise the biogas plant, which will be fed only with pig slurry (300 m3/d), in order to produce electricity for the company’s own consumption.
The biogas plant consists of 2 fermenters with a diameter of 34 m and a height of 7 m, fed in parallel by sewage from a collection pre-tank (diam. 17 m and height 3 m) suitably mixed for total homogenisation of the product. As a cogenerator, a 500 kW Jenbacher in a container with a flue gas exchanger was foreseen in order to recover all the heat from it. Input matrices
